A Report Template is a spread report file that is used to create a new spread report.  WIMS provides over 100 templates that include all the format, layout, and formulas for many useful reports including state/federal regulatory reports.  Report Templates are stored in the templates folder (c:\HachWIMS\Client\templates) with a .HWR or .SS3 file extension.

You can create your own templates using File, Save As Template in Spread Report Design.  This is useful to backup your report designs or can be used to transfer reports between systems. 

To use a template, select File, New in Spread Report Design

You can download a template from the WIMS Help system and use File, New in Spread Report Design to open that template.
