Problem:
When using Custom Data Entry forms in OPS 32 using a Microsoft Access database the user gets the following error, usually associated with a specific date:
The problem occurs when a Custom Data Entry form (or other form) is opened. Once in the form, browsing or switching to a particular date causes this error to appear on the screen and after clicking the "OK" button, a blank screen is shown with out rows or columns.
Solution:
To fix this problem, you must first locate the directory where the data for the custom form is being stored. Each instance of a Custom Data Entry form is stored in a sub folder within the Facility's main data folder (i.e. c:\OPS32\Rocky\ for the OPS tutorial database "Rocky Creek"). Within that folder, numerical (1,2,3,...) sub folders are created for each Custom Data Entry form. To determine the number for the entry form, you may need Technical Support from OPS Systems, please contact us at 1(800) 677-0067. The file names are generated based on the date for which they store data. Find the file for the date generating the errors which is usually characterized as having a file size of 0. At this point you can do one of two things:
1. Rename the file for future reference
2. Delete the file
At this point you can reopen OPS 32 and resume using the program as normal. All data entered into the form for the problematic day will have to be re-entered.
