Q14421 - HOWTO: Using Inteface Browsers

Using the interface browsers for Hach WIMS Direct Server-Side Interface to Hach Claros Collect

The browser tables must be generated using the [Gen Browsers] button in Source Configuration.

Configuration Steps:

  1. Go to Configuration>Source Configuration
  2. Set or verify that the Import Folder is correct and available (you will need to connect your PPA device to your USB Port).
  3. Click the button.

Tech Notes:

The Q14412_x_LOCATIONS table in OPSROOT will be created and will be populated with the Claros Location list will be loaded (e.g. the locations for the current Account based on the Claros URL, Username, and password). If the table already exists, it will be cleared and repopulated. The x is the unique interface id (OPSROOT.G2_SERVER.INTERFACE_ID) for this instance of the interface. The Q14412_x_TESTS table in OPSROOT will be populated with a the list of Parameters (e.g. the parameters for the current Account).

The Location browser shows the Plant\Process\Sampling Point along with it's internal id (GUID).  The Parameter browser shows the Parameter (English Name) and the Keyname in the description.

While in the Hach WIMS client, click on System Setup>Edit/View Variables and click the Interface tab. Click on Interface To radio button and select the Hach Claros interface from the dropdown menu. Click the elipses button (three dots) to bring up a browser for that field:
