Sometimes you can get the following error message when starting the JOB program:
Error 3024 - Could not find file
The JPU.97 file is the security file for JOB, it contains the usernames and passwords. If you have a network version of the program there will be 1 file in a directory on the server. We call this directory the Shared User's Directory. Each workstation will need to have a drive mapped to the server and then point to the Shared Users Directory.
You might also receive this error for file JPDB97.mdb which is a file that is on every computer with JOB installed. It contains the list of databases and their locations.
You can change in which folder the JOB program is looking for these files without entering the JOB program by changing 2 registry items.
Click the Start Button on your Taskbar and then select Run.
Type in regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/JobPlus/General
JPDBListDir is where the JOB program looks for the JPDB97.mdb file.
JPUDir is where the JOB program looks for the JPU.97 file.
To change a location right-click on the entry and select Modify.
Make your changes and click OK.
