LABCALBarcodeLabels.ss3 LABCAL Barcode Labels Report preview

Reports LABCAL selected samples as barcoded sample labels. Displays Lab# as barcode, Lab# as human readable, and Sample Name. Up to 14 selected samples can be reported at a time. Report is preformatted for Avery 5162 laser printer label stock. Note that user must install barcode font 3 of 9 on their WIMS client OS to utilize the barcoding feature. Font can be found at: http://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font

Note that installation of template requires the user to load template, then set the report properties to specify the report type = COC. This allows use from inside LABCAL right click sample block selection menus. Re-locate of Prompt in cell F1 is required also. User must unhide column F, locate new prompt in F1 with whatever text is desired, set prompt type to SampleID (Internal ID), check the box for comma separated list,press ... and pick a sample to test with, and hit OK button. Hide column F. Save as report.

To use report from LabCal, highlight block of samples to report (up to 14). Right click mouse inside of selected block to display quickmenu. Select "Print COC" from quickmenu. Select the name of the barcode label report (see above) and click OK. Output result to preview screen or to printer. Author: MGM 2008-02-26
