Q12135 - INFO: Interface Introduction

The Hach WIMS Direct Server-Side Interface to GE Fanuc FIX / iFIX HMI imports summarized values into Hach WIMS. The Hach FIX2XML utility queries historical H files (.h04,.h08, or .h24 classic historian files) generated from FIX / FIX32 / iFIX (by Intellution / GE Fanuc) and generates XML files, then the interface summarizes this data and imports it into Hach WIMS.

Assumptions/Constraints:

The GE Fanuc FIX / iFIX HMI is case sensitive and so is the interface. When a variable is defined with a tag name, it must be in the same case as the source system. For example, in my iFix HMI I have a tag name IFIX1_H20_BW1_FIT0301. This happens to be on my node SCADA1. In Hach WIMS I need to have the tag name exactly as it is shown: SCADA1:IFIX1_H20_BW1_FIT0301.F_CV - all in upper case letters.
