OPS 32, a predecessor to OPS SQL, was introduced in 2000. It was designed to run on 32-bit Microsoft Windows. Data storage platform was originally Microsoft Access 97 which was later replaced by Microsoft Access 2000. Product came in 2 editions : OPS 32 (for medium sized plants) and OPS EZ (for small sized plants). The product was designed to run in single user and network environments. The number of concurrent users was technologically limited by the Microsoft Access storage platform, which allowed for up to workgroup-sized network deployment.
