Database Support, sometimes referred to as DB Support, allows Hach WIMS to utilize an enterprise Database Management System such as MS SQL Server (Enterprise, Standard, or Workgroup edition) or Oracle. Database Support is an add-on and is part of the license (see WIMS Licensing).
Hach WIMS comes with the following database options:
Hach WIMS with MS SQL Express Support (no part number as this is included in base software) - This edition includes the MS SQL 2012 Express database, allows databases to grow to 10GB, up to 10 concurrent users can be purchased. NOTE: For customers on older Windows Operating Systems (e.g. Windows XP) this edition will also Support MS SQL 2005 Express database, however databases can only grow to 4GB.
Hach WIMS with MS SQL database support (Part Number WM-DBSQLSERVER) - This edition allows WIMS to connect to a MS SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 or 2014 (Enterprise, Standard, or Workgroup edition) that is provided by others, databases can grow to any size, and up to 20 concurrent users can be purchased.
Hach WIMS with Oracle database support (Part Number WM-DBORACLE) - This edition allows WIMS to connect to an Oracle 9i or later Server that is provided by others, databases can grow to any size, and up to 20 concurrent users can be purchased.
