Under Windows Vista, with UAC (User-access control) enabled, it might appear that the service batch files that start/stop/restart the Hach WIMS Services do not work.

This is due to Vista's security model. You will see this error even as you're logged in as a member of the Administrators group.

To run the file, you have to right-click its name in the menu and select the "Run as Administrator" option. If you are a member of the Administrators group, you will see a simple elevation prompt. If you're a limited user, you will be prompted to enter the username/password of an Administrator.
