The MSI Location window is used to locate the installation packages (.MSI files) that need to be installed:
In the most common case, where your MSI files are located on the same DVD disc as the Platform Installer, you will see the above message. Simply click Next to continue.
Advanced Usage:
The Platform Installer will search your DVD/CD drives, followed by your C drive, for the location of the MSI's. If you want it to find the location for you, just wait for it to finish. You can interrupt it at any time, to enter the location manually in the drop-down box, in case you know it and don't want to wait:
You can also click the "Browse" button to navigate to the MSI location.
Clicking on any of the following check-boxes will modify the search behavior. This is necessary in case you don't know exactly where the MSI location is, but you want to do an exhaustive search:
NOTE:
A full search (all local hard drives, network, USB drives) can take a VERY long time!
During its search, the Platform Installer may locate multiple Hach WIMS MSI locations. This can happen if you have MSI files left over from an older installation and you forgot to remove them. In that case, the Platform Installer will notify you that multiple locations were found and will prompt you to pick one.
