HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR HQd Meter TO THE NEXT SOFTWARE VERSION (2.1.0.713)
Basic Steps:
- Obtain USB drive (2GB or smaller)
- Remove all files from the USB drive
- Download new device software zip file using Q13413
- Copy the downloaded files to the USB drive
- Unplug all probes from the HQd Meter
- Ensure it's plugged into AC power (see Q12577)
- Plug the USB drive into the port on the AC power adapter (again see Q12577)
- Turn on the HQd Meter (DO NOT TURN OFF THE DEVICE DURING THIS STEP)
- When the device beeps (about 15 seconds) remove the USB drive from the power adapter - the meter will power off
- Turn on the meter and verify the correct serial number is displayed (when no probes are attached, if probes are attached you can see the serial number at Q13412, this method works whether the probes are attached or not)
When the device is updated to version 2.1.0.713 or above you now have two options when connecting to it from Hach WIMS or BOD Manager. See the article Q13412 to find out how to view the HQ40d's serial number.
