Result Comments are used to enter comments specific to the variable and date. Result Comments are usually indicated by a red dot in the upper right corner of an entry cell. Each result comment can store up to 4000 characters of text.

For example, the flow meter was calibrated so the entry is an estimate, you can flag that entry as such.  

Result Comments can be output using Log Book Report (with the Result Comments option on) or in a spread report using Place Result Comment beside data option on the Locate, Daily Values or Locate, Daily Detail Values forms.
