In order to configure source connection for the interface, click Configuration>Source Configuration.

The next screen will allow you to enter your Rio Account information.

Rio URL: The website you use to log into the your Rio application.  Click [Set to Default] to set to the Rio Production site (https://api-us.aquaticinformatics.net)

Rio Username: A valid Rio Username linked to your account.

Rio Password: Password associated with the Username.

Note: While any valid username will work (No special privledges are required for the account to work for the interface) it is STRONGLY recommended that you use Rio Service account user.  When setting up a Rio User, check the Service account option.

  • Creates a secure connection between your WIMS Interface and the Aquatic Informatics Cloud.
  • This user CANNOT be used to log in to your web application or mobile app.
  • This credential/password never expires. User must be deleted to revoke privileges.
  • This user can only be deleted, it CANNOT be changed or edited after it is created.

Set AuditUser to:  When importing data, the WIMS Audit User can be written with their Rio Username or their Firstname Lastname as it's stored in Rio User Setup.

Update LabCal Sample Info:  If checked, the interface will update the LabCal sample info (Sample Date/time, Sampled By, Sample Status,) and test info (Analysis Date/Time complete, and Analyzed By).  See RIO - Updating LabCal Sample Info for example.

Personnel Field to match Rio Username: If updating LabCal info, we must match the Rio user (based on your Set AuditUser to setting) to a Personnel Record in Lab Cal in order to set the Sampled by and Analyzed by fields.  This sets which Personnel field will be used for the cross referencing. Examples:

  1. Rio User JoeOp (our Set AuditUser To is Rio Username) entered sample data, we would enter JoeOp in the Personnel UD1 field and set Personnel Field to match Rio Username to LC_PEOPLEUD1 (User defined 1 field on the Personnel form).
  2. Your Set AuditUser to is FirstName LastName: User Joe Smith entered sample data, we would enter "Joe Smith" in the Personnel UD1 field.

Ignore Case when matching between Source Identifiers and WIMS Variable Cross References: Enable this setting when you need to ignore case during matching of Rio Location:Parameters to WIMS variable cross reference fields. For example, if the Rio parameter name is "pH", in WIMS variable setup in the Interface, Data name field you could enter "PH", "pH", or "ph" and they would all match (if enabled).

Proxy Server IP : Port No: If your system uses a Proxy Server enter the Proxy Server IP Address and Port No (ex. 10.5.0.55:8080) otherwise leave blank.

Logbook Notes: Append to Notes: If checked, Notes found for the same Date/Time will be appended to the current note, otherwise the current note will be overwritten.

Number of days back to look for updated data: The queries for data in Rio will look back this many days to account for data entered late.

AQI Environment: This was added for backward compatibility with the Hach Claros environments.    Check this if data is in an AQI Environment  (ie. aquaticinformatics.net). As of May, 2022 this should always be checked.

Include Sub Tenants: Checking this box will Import data for the Tenant associated with the user as well as all Sub Tenants under the Tenant.

Note:  As Operation/Location/Parameters are added to the Rio Operation Setup, you will need to click Gen Browser to populate/update the latest information into these tables.

The Users screen will allow the setup of a higher level user. This user will be used to get a more complete list of users for audituser on data imported from Rio.
