Hach WIMS Client is supported and can be installed only on one of the following Microsoft Windows versions : Software Requirements

Server Connectivity:

Hach WIMS Client must have TCP/IP network connectivity to Hach WIMS Database Server

NOTE : Hach WIMS Client supports deployment on the same machine as Hach WIMS Database Server

Hach WIMS Client can only connect to Hach WIMS Database Server of the following DBMS versions :

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 32-bit
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 64-bit
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 32-bit
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 64-bit
Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (NOTE: Support added in v7.6.6, previous versions of WIMS are not supported on SQL Server 2016)
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (NOTE: Support added in v7.7.0, previous versions of WIMS are not supported on SQL Server 2017)
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (NOTE: Support added in V7.8.4, pervious versions of WIMS are not supported on SQL Server 2019)
Microsoft SQL Server 2022
Oracle 9i
Oracle 10g 32-bit
Oracle 10g 64-bit
Oracle 11g 32-bit
Oracle 11g 64-bit

Hach WIMS is based upon a true client-server architecture. The client software has a large footprint and requires a speedy connection to the Hach WIMS database server. It is very hard to precisely state the minimum network bandwidth requirements for Hach WIMS. It was developed to work efficiently on a 10 Megabit networks. Yet, depending on your current network bandwidth utilization, even 10 Megabit may not be enough.
We do not recommend deploying Hach WIMS onto T1 bandwidth rated networks. If you are bound by such network hardware, please consider running the Hach WIMS client using application virtualization technology (such as Windows Terminal Server, or Citrix).
