The 2008 User Forum - Update
The OPS Systems User Forum has changed dates!

The user forum was originally listed in the OOPS SCOOPS Newsletter as being the week of May 19^th. Instead, it will be held the week of September 29^th, due to logistic complications.

The new dates also make it convenient for users to extend their stay and attend the 2008 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta!(October 4^th-12^th)

OPS Systems will be hosting a Training Workshop in Rio Rancho, NM Mar 3 - 7, 2008.
Sessions are scheduled as follows:

M-W 3-Days OPS SQL Training: covering basics, data entry, forms, reports to advanced functions.
Th & F 2-Days JOB Cal/JOB Plus Training: Covering CMMS basics, WOs, reports to advanced functions.

Sessions will cover basic user skills, new features & functions of the latest versions, and Q&A time for your specific questions.

When: Mar 3 - 7, 2008 8:30am - 4pm each day
Where: Rio Rancho, NM 87124
Cost: $300/day/person - we will provide lunch, training manuals and computer
(computers available upon request only).

New Resources Consulting Acquires OPS Systems, Inc.

New Resources Consulting (NRC) is pleased to announce its acquisition of OPS Systems, Inc. (OPS). OPS is an internationally recognized technology provider of operations data management, laboratory data management and preventive maintenance software solutions focused on serving the specific requirements of the water/wastewater and power industry. Among the more than 2,000 users of OPS products are Bayer Corporation, British Petroleum, Kimberly Clark, Sun Chemical, GE Plastics, Georgia-Pacific Corporation, International Paper, Veolia Water North American Operating Services, United Water, American Water Services, and Earthtech.

The OPS SQL line of Operations Process Data Management software enables an organization to efficiently manage complex data, prepare required state and federal regulatory reports, and analyze and predict process performance. JOBCal, the OPS computerized maintenance management software, schedules preventive and corrective maintenance. The Aspen software provided by OPS' Telecation Division is a full-featured, customizable, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software for complete lab management. Position will be providing support to our 2000+ customer base working with our software programs, support to internal staff, and supplemental support to our programming staff for bug tracking and release testing. This position has many growth opportunities for implementation, training, travel, etc...

The right candidate has solid computer skills in the Windows OS environment (98-XP), knowledgeable about network communications, VPN, Citrix/Terminal Services, and understands overall concepts of relational databases, security and database management (Oracle/MSSQLServer/MSAccess). In addition candidate should have familiarity with MS Office Suite, Sourcevault, Dragnet, Knowledgebase, and other industry supporting tools.

This position is a first line customer service contact, so in addition to computer skills an excellent candidate should have a desire to help people, have excellent command of the English language, and have solid ability to communicate technical material verbally and in writing. An exceptional candidate has the computer skills AND has previous experience working in municipal utilities. Operators license a HUGE plus!
