Q11005 - INFO: 15 Minute Data Entry Forms

15 Minute Data Entry Form Design allows you to add new, change existing, and delete forms with 15 minute type variables on it.

USING:

Once a form is created, you will be able to access it from the Data Manager Entry Forms menu. The new form will be listed on this menu.   Simply select the form of your choice from the list to access it.  Designing an 15 minute Data Entry form is very simple. Select Design, 15 minute Data Entry.   The form design screen will be displayed.  If you have not designed any forms yet, the design screen will be empty allowing you to choose your variables, options, and form name for your first form.  If there are existing forms, the first form will be displayed. Once in the design form you may choose the variables you wish to work with in any order you decide, and name your new form.  You can then exit (changes are automatically saved) or edit/add other forms.

FIELDS:

Form Name: Displays the name for the Form.  The name is displayed in the Data Manager Menu and is used to select the form for use.  Click the  button to edit the Form Name.  The  button allows you to select a form to design (instead of using Next, Prev buttons to move to the form).

Entry Group: Sets the Entry Group for the Form.  See Entry Form Group Manager for more information on Entry Groups.

Edit Mode Overwrite:  Sets whether existing entries are replaced when you start typing in a data entry cell or is appended to the end of the entry.  Select On to replace existing text when entering or Off to append text to the end of the cell.

Display Time Column for each variable: Check this box in order to display a separate Time column next to each variable.  This allows you to set a specific time within the data slot (15 minute) for each variable.  If specific times do not need to be set within the data slot, uncheck this option and the Time of day column will only be shown once on the far left of the form.

Enter Key Action:  Select Down or Across to determine the direction the cursor will move when the [Enter] key is pressed.

Heading:  Sets what will be displayed in the column header for each variable in the form.  Simply check all items you want displayed in the column header.
