USING:
When the Solids Wastage Report form is opened, yesterday's data is pulled up for your MLSS, Eff TSS, RAS TSS, and WAS Flow. If you want to use a different day to calculate your New Wastage Rate, simply change the Date.
1. Uncheck all offline Basins and Clarifiers.
2. Enter your estimated Eff Flow and RAS Flow rate from each Clarifier.
3. Click Calc Report and your New Total Wastage Flowrate is calculated.
4. Click Print to send the report to the printer.

NOTES:
Control of solids retentrion time (SRT) provides a means of regulating the growth rate of microorganisms. Control of growth rate, in turn, assists in the maintenance of a uniform effluent quality and provides a degree of control over solids production and oxygen utilization rates. For these reasons, SRT control is one of the more widely used operational strategies for activated sludge systems. The solids wastage report determines the wastage rate to maintain a desired SRT.
