Q11118 - INFO: Edit/Close Sample User Defined Fields Tab

Allows entry of User Defined information on a sample.  Use the Edit/Close Sample form and click on the User Defined Fields Tab:

There are up to nine (9) user defined fields available that can be used for any sample data that WIMS does not provide a field for.  In the example above, User Defined 1 now holds the Extenal Lab Number when samples are sent to a different lab.  To rename a User Defined field simply double click on the caption (i.e. the text "Inactive").  Once a field is renamed it will be renamed on all samples (i.e. User Defined 1 is now External LabNum for all samples).

NOTES:

The User Defined fields are stored in database table/field LC_SAMPLE.SAMPLEUD1, LC_SAMPLE.SAMPLEUD2,..., LC_SAMPLE.SAMPLEUD9
