Most of mobile carriers offer free Email To SMS gateways which can be used to forward simple text emails to a mobile phones. WIMS sends an email to the specified address and your cell phone provider will convert it to a text message (SMS) and forward to your phone. For example, to send a text message to 555-999-8888 on the AT&T network, enter 5559991234@txt.att.net.
Email messages arrive on your cell phone as text messages. Be aware that you may need a special text message plan that costs extra from your cell phone provider and that Hach is not responsible for any charges that may incur.
E.g., to send an email as a text to a cell phone with phone number 555-999-8888 on the AT&T network, you would enter 5559998888@txt.att.net. Assuming your subject line is "New WIMS Message" with content "Situation under control", you will receive a text message that looks like this (example uses Apple iPhone, your screen may look different):
