Q13331 - INFO: Variable Admin Tool (VARADMINTOOL) [Action Script]

The Variable Admin Tool (VARADMINTOOL) is an Action Script which allows Super Users (or Managers with the Allowed to Run SQL Console [User Specific Setting]) to quickly change the variable setup by deleting variables, assigning variables to locations, etc...

WARNING:  There is no UNDO for these actions.  Changes are saved automatically.  PLEASE BACKUP YOUR DATABASE BEFORE USING THE VAR ADMIN TOOL.

BUTTONS (Variable ToolBar):

Deletes the currently selected variables.  NOTE: If you delete all variables in a location you will be prompted to delete the location.
Loads the currently selected variable in Edit/View Variables.
Copies the current selected variables to a new location(s).
Assigns the currently selected variables to a new location.  Displays the Location browser for selection of the new location.
Moves the currently selected variables (rows) up one row.  Note:  Has no effect unless the Var Admin Wizard is used to renumber the database.
Moves the currently selected variables (rows) down one row.  Note:  Has no effect unless the Var Admin Wizard is used to renumber the database.
The Variable Admin Replace Tool allows you to Search and Replace text within Variable Names, Units, or StoretCodes.  You can also append text to the beginning or ending of the Variable Names, Units, or StoretCodes.

Starts the Var Admin Wizard that will renumber your database, set entry limits based on historical data, and defaults StoretCodes based on Variable Names based on user specified options.
For calculated variables, attempts to remove the Skip part of the formula and enter the formula after the comment character (').  For Example, V12 is calculated and the formula is set to "SKIP   ' V1 * V11 * 8.34", Unskip will remove the Skip and make the formula V1 * V11 * 8.34.  Will only remove Skip If the resulting formula is valid.

Deletes the current location.  You will be prompted if you want to delete the location and all variables or delete just the location (the variables will not be deleted but they will no longer be assigned to a location).

Moves the current location (sheet) to a new spot in the location order.  Displays the Location Browser to select the location that the current location will be placed in front of.
