USING:
- Click on the location you want to add variables to. Effl 002 in this example.
- On the menu choose Variable>Import Vars into Location.
- Pick a Variable Template File to use (WIMSVARS.XLS will be loaded by default, click here to load different template files).
- Select a sheet to import from
- Enter a Prefix Names With. Example, enter "Effl 002" and the new variables will be named "Effl 002 Cadmium", "Effl 002 Chromium" etc... Leave blank and the variables will be named Cadmium, Chromium,...
- Enter the Base VarNum or choose By Increment. Example:
- By adding Column A to Base Varnum of 123700 is selected V124016 Cadmium, V124021 Chromium... will be created. 124016 = 123700 + 316.
- By incrementing by 2 to last varnum (5105) in Location is selected V5007 Cadmium, V5009 Chromium... will be created.
- Select which variables to import by clicking on the rows (you can use Shift click and Ctrl Click to select multiple rows)
- Click the Create Vars button.
FIELDS:
Source Excel File: The Hach WIMS Variable Template Excel file to use to create your location/variables from.
Location: The new location to create. The New Location Name will be combined with the Parameter Name to make the Variable Name. For example, Variable Number 44101, Name Influent Channel 2 Total Flow will be created in the example above.
Set New Varnums: The options set how the new variable numbers will be generated:
By adding Column A to Base VarNum of ______: The Base VarNum is added to column A (Var #) field to calculate the Variable Number. For example, the first variable created will be 5101(Base VarNum of 5100 + Var # of 1 for row 4 in the example above).
By incrementing by X to last VarNum (xxxx) in Location: Ignores Column A (Var #) and simply add X to the last Varnum in the Location. For Example, the last varnum is 1135 for Location RAS 01 so the following would be created with an increment of 2:
